Preserving Herbs for Humankind

We believe if we do everything in our power to take care of plants, plants will continue to take care of us.

Doing Business for Good

We’ve been a Certified B Corp since 2018. This independent assessment is a distinction that really matters to us. B Corp certification assesses our environmental, social and community impact. It’s a great way to uphold our purpose: Taking care of plants, so they can take care of people. It’s a commitment that extends from our organic farms in Oregon, to the health and well-being of our team and our rich community of herbalists and plant savers. In 2019 and 2021, we earned a special “Best For The World" distinction for our environment commitments, an honor that ranks us among the top 5% of all B Corps globally.

Our Botanical Education Garden

Inside the boundaries of our main farm is a 1.5-acre oasis called the Botanical Education Garden. Here we grow over 500 species of plants gathered from all over the world. The garden provides a “living classroom” for our interns and guests – a perfect place to look, touch and observe beloved herbs and discover new ones. It exemplifies our mission to inspire love and respect for nature, and to impart our knowledge of traditional herbalism.

Herbaculture Internship Program

We’re committed to the future of herbalism. Our Herbaculture Internship Program has trained hundreds of tomorrow’s herbalists, farmers, and naturopaths since 1980. Our professional farmers and herbalists provide a hands-on, immersive learning experience spanning 10 weeks at the height of spring, summer and fall at our Certified Organic herb farms in the heart of the Siskiyou Mountains in southern Oregon.
